As-Salaam-Alaikum, my beautiful queens!
With the recent movement of women of color going back to celebrating their natural hair , this post is long over due. With Atlanta being one of the hair capitalist, and Barner Brothers hair show coming up in just a few days this post is perfect timing. Today , I will explain to you three natural ways in how to achieve the looks below. Image one is twisting along with addition of beading, imagine two is flat slap twist and image three is plaits with weaving additions. As you know before you start off with any style always wash hair first. Start by using either apple cider vinger or a non-sulfate harsh shampoo. Conditioner the hair with either egg and mayo recipe or with coconut oil. After you complete these steps stretch the hair to drive.
- seperate the hair into 4 sections
- secure each section with a hair tie
- plait the hair from root to end
- secure the end with another hair tie
- get coconut and rub throughout plaits
Once this is complete you can tie the hair up with a scarf and let dry over night. Do not use blow dryer to dry hair. This weakens hair cuticle and causes breakage. The next morning, your hair should be dry and ready to style:
- Brush hair.
- Divide the hair in the amount of sections you want for style
- be sure to cross each section
- now seperate into three sections
- Put one section on top
- place the other section on top
- and then add last section on top
- repeat
- Add hair to the section on the other side
- Secure by rubber band
You can do all the following hairstlyes by following the directions above. As always thanks for reading !
