As-Salaam-Alaikum, is a standard salutation that you will see at the beginning of most blogs here. This Arabic saying simply means peace be until you. With that being said, As-salaam-alaikum , my name is Tiffany Wright. I’m a senior at Georgia State University from West Palm Beach, Florida. I enjoy croquet, beading, and braiding. I enjoy every day teaching women of color about loving themselves, and appreciating their differences. This blog will be a platform to acknowledge and appreciate different aspects of women of color. Some of these aspects may include everyday life situations that people of color may face. This may include things such as discrimination issues. This site will also highlight achievements among people of color in the local Atlanta community. It will also include announcements surrounding the local black colleges such as Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College and Spelman College. It will also include DIY such as different braid patterns, braiding hairstyles, making clothes and cooking recipes. Although this website will be used as a medium for black awareness , this website in made for everyone to enjoy and learn. I look forward to future blogs with you and I hope for a transparent relationship from each other on this new journey.
XOXO- Tiffany
